Check out this great video with information on how damaging this noise really is!
The noise is torture for many residents.
Why not put the Pickleball court at Pacesetter in the open where it wont bother any residents? Pickleball courts do not belong anywhere near residents due to the constant noise. Those unfortunate to live near them have to endure 50,000 even 100,000 'pwock!' noises daily.
The Pickleball Court at Veterans Memorial Park is deafening for the 50 plus residents who live nearby. On some days with the wind just right the noise can be heard even blocks away.
Why wasn't there any consideration for the residents who live near Veterans Memorial Park in the planning stages? The psychological damage this noise causes residents is not acceptable.
Wasting money on blankets and acoustic fencing does not stop the onslaught of noise.
It will slightly mitigate the noise, but not enough as sound still travels, and that 'pwock!' noise is never ending.
Common sense indicates a Pickleball court should not be within 1,000ft of any residents. They should be put in a location where no resident would ever have to be tortured by the noise now or in the future.
Please watch the YouTube video linked to the right and below for detailed info on how truly damaging this noise is to people.

The noise caused by continuous pop-pop of the pickleball paddle hitting the ball leaves people disgusted, disturbed and distraught.
The average pickleball sound, whether indoor or outdoor pickleball, is about 70 dBA. As a point of reference, any noise or sound greater than 80 dBA should try to be avoided and a dBA of greater than 90 can be harmful.
The fact remains that while the paddle hitting the ball (and the ball bouncing off the court) averages 70 dBA it is still greater than tennis’s average 40 dBA.
